It's heartwarming to know that we have your backing, and I feel compelled to keep you updated on Pade's progress during this period and the exciting future that lies ahead.
The Journey So Far
From the very beginning, our mission at Pade has been to revolutionise and streamline HR for African businesses. The demand for efficient time and human resource management remains a driving force in Africa, as companies strive to keep up with our fast-paced world and maximise productivity. Our unwavering dedication lies in creating solutions that empower effective management, resulting in heightened efficiency and output.
In January, I shared a summary of our growth from the previous year, with around 50 businesses utilising Pade and managing nearly 10,000 employees on our platform. Since then, we've nearly doubled those numbers. It fills me with pride to say that we have made a significant impact on numerous companies, earning the trust and satisfaction of customers in industries such as Oil & Gas, Aviation, Technology, Finance and many more.
But our journey doesn't end there; we are inspired to achieve even more.
As we edge closer to realizing total automation, the winds of change in the market continue to strengthen. Needs evolve, talents emerge, and trends shape new demands. More and more companies are relying on technology to navigate these changes, and we are prepared to embrace them, especially with the launch of our new version - Pade 3.0.
Our Distinct Market Position
While many great businesses partially cover what we do or offer alternative approaches in our market, Pade stands out. We prioritize People— employees and employers—of all business sizes. Currently, SMEs play a vital role in job creation and economic development in Africa, comprising nearly 90% of all businesses. However, only 7% of these SMEs utilize technology, and a staggering 71% see no need for it. These statistics alone illuminate the path we must tread. Our plan is to become the go-to technology partner for HR professionals in the SME and large enterprise market by simplifying people processes and getting these businesses comfortable enough to rely on us.
We offer businesses the opportunity to jump aboard the technology train with minimal or no HR tech expertise, empowering them to manage most of their processes as efficiently as their peers, from a single central dashboard.
Introducing Pade 3.0: Unleashing Possibilities
Pade 3.0 is a culmination of extensive research, incorporating feedback from our cherished customers and the potential market.
This third release of our product represents a major leap forward, one that caters to the unique needs of businesses and I am immensely proud of our team and the effort they've poured into this upgrade. Now, our customers can come to Pade and be sure they are getting a world-class experience from us via the product.
While there are a lot of new additions to the new version, here’s a quick glimpse of the key improvements we've made to our platform.
- Our improved performance module introduces various approaches to measure and assess employee performance, including the OKR and Balanced Scorecard frameworks. This update brings unparalleled flexibility to the evaluation process, allowing organizations to adapt and tailor their assessment methods to meet specific needs and objectives.
- Payroll functionalities have undergone significant enhancements, empowering both employers and employees by granting them greater freedom in managing salaries. The update introduces a deeper level of configuration and flexibility, enabling tailored salary calculations and seamless disbursements. These enhancements streamline payroll processes while offering organizations more control over salary management, ensuring a smoother and more efficient experience for everyone involved.

Our Roadmap
Without divulging too many details, as many plans are still in progress, I can assure you that we have some thrilling initiatives lined up for the second half of the year. I am bursting with excitement to unveil them to you.
Pade 3.0 is merely at the beginning of its full potential. We have an abundance of ideas and plans that keep emerging daily, and we remain committed to optimizing our offerings continuously. Expect groundbreaking features to be introduced to Pade before the year runs out, enhancing your people management flexibility to greater heights.
Additionally, we have the Pade mobile app in the works. This mobile application will provide your employees with easy access to their personal Pade accounts, empowering them to manage their pay and make informed financial decisions.
Furthermore, we are actively forging significant partnerships with renowned brands across various industries. These collaborations promise to yield incredible results, and we can't wait to showcase the magic we create together.
